The Design team is aware that this idea is bouncing around, and they will look to weigh in on the issue come Monday. It is a complicated mechanism, port conquest- and every aspect of the design has its purpose. So while the idea you've shared is interesting, it may not necessarily fit in with the desired outcome.

It is most certainly worth additional discussion. So pro or con, Design will pop by as soon as they can to elaborate on their thoughts.
