That's impossible for us to control. Right now, if you don't want to get pulled in when your group member gets attacked, then you can just ungroup. Thus declining the prompt is no different than what we have in game right now. We can't avoid players circumventing the Ad-Hoc auto join unless we make it based on side instead of group, which brings a host of different problems. So, this gives players the versatility of deciding whether they want the grouped or ungrouped behavior for joining.
If you're not immune to attack for a few seconds to acknowledge the prompt, then the prompt becomes a default "help the enemy split my group" option. Large, coordinated societies would eat 6-man groups alive if they had join prompts w/o protection. It's possible that we'll merge several attacks instead of providing protection in the future, but that significant expands the scope here and would have delayed the fixes.

If you're in a convoy, then your escort can attack a group, pulling them into the instance, and you can say "no" to joining, and keep sailing for that port that is only 30 miles away.

Again, you can already do this - just don't group.
