I understand that the Dev's should be developing but why have these forums if there is not an exchange of knowledge.
As Deadeye said if we had a known baseline then we would have solid data to work with., not a bunch of anecdotal comments by players who also have their own agendas. Who make one sided arguments and for the most part fail to look at the entire picture.
I find less and less time each day to even come look at the game. Pirates were promised by the the dev team a LOVE patch. Not many pirates feel that they are getting any love at all. In fact, most think that FLS just said these things to milk them our of another month or two of fees.
As much as people say they love PVP, I have to wonder. Everyone loves PVP when they rule, never get sunk etc. Most players are lazy. They are looking for the easy button, the invincible ship or ridiculous skills to make them better than everyone else instead of understanding the strengths and weaknesses of their class and the ships they sail. Maybe it is way too much work for today's players. Rarely do you ever hear someone say wow, that guy was a great captain.........Instead it was some game issue, the mysterious disconnect, or some other excuse why they lost a battle.
I seriously wonder if the Dev team really wants our input or really wants to make the game playable or are they just in it for the paycheck?
The complete lack of data and two way discussions with the devs makes it impossible for other players to be able to accurately discuss the game. What we end up with is a bunch of experts who have seen this, played that, but really do not have the facts to know for certain if something is really happening in the game of not.

We really do want your input! We try to keep up with all the discussion going on both inside and outside the forums, but we are rather outnumbered here
We also collect feedback data in a lot of was other than just the forums. It might not seem like we're listening sometimes, but we definitely are!
