1 in thread Swedish Pirate Theme for Flag/Sails [Flags and Sails]
If you're looking for feedback on flag and sail ideas, it's best to post directly in the forum before submitting. Once you're confident in your work, you can submit and post a direct link in the flag and sail vote requests thread.

Since that's the place for votes, I'll close this thread

1 in thread Sail rejected [Flags and Sails]
The correct place for appealing rejected user content is this thread. When the 2DSC reviews these requests, we provide suggestions on how to improve. As such, I'm closing this duplicate.

1 in thread A Treatise on Combat Mechanics [Discuss: Ships, Ship Combat, & Ship Skills]
Time is arbitrary and only serves to show the significant angle difference for description purposes. It's a constant check. There's nothing that alters the checks.

Battle Sails tend to be a sweet spot on unmodified ships. You can modify speed. Speed is in constant flux as you maneuver. The faster you go, the less accuracy you have.

I'll give it a shot... but I'm not sure my minute explanation will suffice.

Code:
B1-------B2
 | |X/
 | |/
A1---A2
Two ships, A and B, shown at their locations for Time 1 and Time 2. Ship B is faster, and they're sailing parallel. At time 1, ship B is directly north of ship A (angle Y - not shown). At time 2, ship B is north-northeast of ship A, which creates angle X. We compare the two the two angles, and for every 1 degree (on a 360 degree circle) of separation per second you lose 6% accuracy. Actually, that value is now 4%.

Being unable to return to port after you exit is a bug that we're working on now.

1 in thread Galeon Couronne vs packboat hermes. I CANT BELIEVE [Discuss: PvP and Conquest]
I'm sure it's been mentioned here, but ships like the Couronne and SOLs are supposed to be vulnerable to small packs of predators. It's intended for them to need escorts.
