This thread went to a LOT of bad places and it wasn't funny. At. All. I removed a good chunk of it and hopefully it will not see the light of day again.

If you guys would like to start over minus the snark and offensive commentary, you may do so.

OK, looks like about 12 hours of downtime either way. We think we don't have to roll back but the fix is a code change and that takes several hours to implement, build, test, and deploy. I'm hoping for less but that's my current best guess. We will be posting updates as we have more news. But go to bed or get on w/ your day or whatever.

Edit: To clarify my earlier tiny (2-hr) predictions - I kept hearing things that made me think we could either live w/ this or fix it w/o code. I should know better than to get my hopes up like that. Particularly should know better than to get your hopes up like that.

If we rollback, we're talking another 6-12 hours of outage. If it's not true, we may be talking another 1-2 hours of outage or less.

Anyone have any screenshots or other info on the claim that folks were sailing ships they shouldn't have been able to? I do realize folks got claim prize for other other careers than their own but I'm not sure anyone got Take Command of Ship that shouldn't have and not sure it's possible to turn in a deed you shouldn't be able to use.

Can we? I believe so. It would be an outage of at least 6 hours, possibly more. Should we? Unknown at this time.

@Ansgar: I'd like to know more about those battles. Explain or point me at a thread or support incident number? Thanks
