Whilst ganking is not the same as griefing players pecieve it to be.
Yeah, I read that thread, and I agreed with it, but I think that's because we sometimes address the high level comment as opposed to the root cause of the content. It's the cause of many an unnecessary argument.

I do. It was a miserable afternoon of my life reading through it. :-)

That's awesome, Valeroth; very helpful. I'd like to see this, or something like this, happen as well. We're probably talking a number of milestones down the pipeline before we can even begin, but it would be an awesome feature.

Particularly like this concept too
Duh. You're talking a statement they made, as opposed to a game system. Is that correct?

That would enable people who string out their entries (sort of sandbagging... Oh, our one guy will engage you, we wait to see who engages, and if the rest of the group sails off, then our other guys will engage to enact the gank, and the allies no longer have time to turn around and sail back into range before combat closes) to be counter-ambushed in return.
Interesting idea. I wrote up a response of why it wouldn't work, until I noticed your "on the other side". If we did that, along with a shorter timer reset, it might be interesting.

Can you point or summarize what you're thinking of here? We have Eve players here (when you love Eve, you love it hard) and they have a generally different perception.
