Honestly, I'm a little surprised to. That's why it took us a while to run this experiment, because we just assumed it was true. I was so surprised at the outcome that I ran the test multiple times, and yeah, the problem is there with that old build which never exhibited the problem until now. That's why we're looking for the DXdiag from people still having the problem, so we can see everything that's going on with their system, just in case there's another factor that is slipping by us.

You can apply any retail key from anywhere to any existing account, no matter where you bought the preorder or where you buy the retail version.

So if you bought the preorder from Best Buy and you buy the retail version from SOE, you'll be fine. Just use the same Station account.
