BlarghAld, your friend should file a support request on this issue.

Every single person we banned for 24 hours starting last night was verified in our logs as having accepted a very large amount of gold directly from a known gold farmer. The source and recipient of every suspect transaction was checked and verified. This was done by myself personally and by our design staff, and the evidence handed off to our community team for review and action.

While it is somehow conceivable that the wrong person was banned, or that the ban in question was made in a different circumstance than the one I'm describing, I want to assure you that this was not done by a "spotty teenager". We will double-check our evidence upon receipt of a support ticket addressing this issue.

We've seen a variety of different behavior on different machines. For some of ours, turning down antialiasing fixed it (which set us off on a wild goose chase), then we found a machine in house where it had no effect. So your mileage may vary until we figure out the root cause with Nvidia.

I've just tried the one expedient I can think of, deleting the textures from our system and re-converting them. Try deleting your User Content folder and restarting your game when it's convenient for you. The folder is located:

...via Windows XP: [Drive]:/Documents and Settings/[Username]/My Documents/Pirates of the Burning Sea/user content/

...via Windows Vista: [Drive]:/Users/[Username]/Documents/Pirates of the Burning Sea/user content/

Whether this works or not, please update your bug report to either show you no longer need a reply (I'll cross my fingers!), or letting Support know that an Admin already tried to reconvert your textures and that did not solve the problem.

Squee! I'm not alone! I'm not sure I know the book you're trying to remember though. For me the book of choice was something called "Man [ ], Ships, and the Sea" whose author I can't remember. But since it was from my school's library, it didn't have the cover jacket, so I've no idea what the cover was

I can't see anything in our system that should prevent these from being available at the flag and sail customizer. Please file a bug report. Content should be available the next time you start up the game, once it's approved.

Damage resistance is best when stacked with other survivability mods (more resist and reduction).
