I would try to delete your UC inventory item from game and repurchase it at the Flag & Sail Customizer.

Had you perhaps rebooted recently, after not having done since you started seeing the problem?

I'm wondering if this is due to an invisible hung potbs.exe holding a handle on the files. Rebooting would have removed it.

There is nothing in the log to help identify any issues. It is clear that the client is trying to start and crashing since it is making logs.

To help us figgure out what is wrong I suggest reading support KB article 112 on how to get a crash dump. Attach the dump and a logfile to a support ticket and post the incident number here.

No, while the statment isn't entirely clear, it means that if people who are using a Buddy Key set a subscription plan, their trial period will end, and their subscription will begin. Folks who have purchased the game will have their 30 days of free play intact, regardless.
