Yes, that is correct. Marks drop based on the level of the defeated ship.

Yes.

At 25 is the Naval Lt. Commander coat. I believe that is the Naval Lieutenant coat with different rank emblems on it.

There are a number of bugs with the Naval Officer clothing rewards that many of you have pointed out. We just did a review pass on all of those and are fixing the problems as part of the v1.2 patch, which is coming very soon.

I thought I'd share the issues we identified and that we're fixing, so you know what to expect:

Male versions of the Lt. Commander and Rear Admiral coats were not appearing if the player had gloves on. This has been fixed, and now all male versions of the Navy coats should work correctly all the time.

The level 30 Navy mission claimed to reward a "Naval Lieutenant" coat but didn't. This was a mistake -- there isn't even supposed to be a clothing reward for he level 30 Navy mission. We're removing the faulty reward icon from the mission.

Female versions of the Lt. Commander and Rear Admiral coats are totally fine, and all female coats reward correctly from all missions. However, the Midshipman and Lieutenant coats' 3D art files are incorrect; both look like the Rear Admiral coat except for the Lieutenant gloved-version coat, which appears correctly. We are fixing these.

Female versions of all Uniform textures have epaulets, whereas the male versions do not. We are removing the epaulets from the female uniforms so they are consistent with the male versions.

All hats in all versions are rewarded correctly and look fine.

(And for the inevitable "What about the NO skill revamp pass?" we are doing that work now, also for v1.2. The people responsible for the clothing fixes are not the same people responsible for the skill revamp, so don't take this post as evidence that the clothing work got higher priority.)

Those of you who have reported issues with the NO clothing items can look forward to these fixes in v1.2. Thanks for your patience.

You'll notice I have a tendancy to mess with players who don't read mission text...

Yes, taking the Tradeskills line first is very understandable but is often a problem.

You've all made some excellent suggestions, and I'm pleased to see that many of your thoughts have been incorporated into the new UC system design. Marion will be presenting these User Content features in an upcoming Devlog on the subject, which will give you an in-depth look at our plans, and a chance to weigh in with additional thoughts and ideas.

Our goal is to publish this new plan either late this week, or early next.

Best,
Aether

Note the ship combat subforum is titled Discuss: Ships, Ship Combat, & Ship Skills. Your skill feedback is much more likely to reach the right people if it's in that subforum.

There's also this sticky specifically for ship skill feedback.

The trick to this mission (Yes, I recognize that it's hard) is to not spend too much time on any one of the 'skirmishes.' Do as much dps as you can to the first group of ships and tip the battle in your ally's favor. Then move on and do the same thing for the next group, working your way up the line.

You don't have to defeat every ship, you just need to make sure your allies will.
