Feel free to try the next patch to see if it improves the situation for you. If you're unfamiliar with Testbed, more info can be found [url-http://www.burningsea.com/forums/showthread.php?t=880]here[/url].

This info may help some of you. If you're still experiencing the problem, as Action Frank noted, you should log a support request with SOE.

Did you log a support incident? Does it matter which port? Anything in your log?

Official sources say that nothing crazy has happened to the patcher servers. If Monthar's workaround does not work for you open an e-mail support ticket at http://www.station.sony.com/support/ (click search and then click the e-mail support tab) and include the generated lp_diag.zip.

If you are refering to one of the FAQ stickies in this forum, you're right, I'll add the extra info in there.

Our KB article that has info about LP.Diagnostics.exe is on support.flyinglab.com, article #200. Running the application should generate the file lp_diag.zip.

I'm going to guess some folks are using Internet Explorer, which doesn't deal with transparent PNGs correctly. Everything I've looked at in this thread appears correct in real browsers like FireFox.

Even better would be to use LP_Diagnostics.exe and attaching lp_diag.zip to the bug. Support article 200 has a download for it but I am pretty sure that it should already be in your game/patch directory.

I just looked at Monthar's patcher log and it would be helpful if other people with this problem could attach theirs.

The execution here is dead-on. Great colors and everything.

Actually, and with apologies to whoever originally posted that sail, I need to point out two problems that will prevent it from being approved:

1) Use of texture. It looks OK on a Web page, but in-game, it will come out grainy and not-so-good looking, unfortunately. Use transparency instead (up to around 70% opaque) so you can benefit from the underlying sail texture itself.

2) The use of gradients -- smoothe transitions of color -- in the crown. A little in flags can be OK, since it's possible with embroidery... but sails couldn't be embroidered on quite this scale.

Also, one quick note about sail colors: A decal and a sail can be colored independently. That means, you'll only need to make a pre-colored decal if you want multiple colors in the design itself. If you just want a red star on a blue sail, for example, it's better to make the star white or grey and with a transparent background -- that way one day you can have a red star on blue, but the next you can have a gold star on green if you like.
