There will be more information on skill changes sometime soon. That's my definition of soon, not yours. :P

I'm not seeing this with the defiant in my test environments. Any additional details you can provide here or in bug reports will help.

1 in thread Navy Career skill and Gunnery Drills problem. [Discuss: Ships, Ship Combat, & Ship Skills]
This is a global bug that affects all passives. It's fixed, but I don't know which build the fix is in.

Re-read the section on damage and damage calculations in the first post. It explains what you're missing.

P2P apps require port forwarding so incoming connections can reach the application. PotBS does not require port forwarding. We just need to be able to get out and subsequently achieve reasonable bandwidth between your machine and our servers.

The vast majority of the network problems people experience with PotBS come from one of these sources:
a) Their firewall is blocking outgoing traffic
b) Their router doesn't handle UDP traffic properly. Some routers forget about the outgoing connection after a while and stop routing incoming traffic; others bail when a large quantity of UDP traffic comes through
c) Somebody upstream is throttling their traffic.

As a point of clarification- our moderators follow a specific guideline, and infractions are just one part of the larger moderation challenge. It is strictly against our policy to discuss specific disciplinary issues in public, as is our oft-stated policy.

However, it is not our intention to ignore queries on the subject, and for that I do apologize. I'll be contacting you personally via private message shortly, where we can continue this conversation in person.

With that being said, I'll be closing this thread to further discussion.

Best,

1 in thread Rubberbanding [Ask an FLS Developer!]
The exact cause behind issues like this are difficult to deduce by forum post alone, but a good first step is for you to check out our support system at http://support.flyinglab.com/ and search for answer ID 144.

You'll find some potential solutions to the problems you describe and links to additional resources to help narrow down, and resolve, what may be causing your rubberbanding.

Best,

1 in thread Hard to read fonts [Ask an FLS Developer!]
I just sat down with our UI Strike Team, and we had a lengthy discussion regarding your concerns, and I've come away with some good news. As a part of our UI Strike Team efforts, we are working to improve the readability of our fonts.

You should see the fruits of their labor in the coming weeks!

Best,
Aether
