This isn't personal, nor is it a vendetta against small ships. Neither is it a stealth nerf when we explicitly stated what changed. Neither is it about what ships have or have not defeated me. Neither is this about whether small ships can beat large ships. It's about whether small ships can beat large ships in a broadside duel.

Gun count relates to level more than anything else. This is a moderately historical game, so we have no small ships that are upgunned enough to hit level 50.

If a Prince is traveling at 18 knots, it's suffering a 28% accuracy penalty after it's tracking bonus and before enemy movement is applied. 13% after 2x accuracy rigs and Odysseus 5. Drop that by ~60% for the MC La Belle's defense, then another 14 for the accuracy penalty on the Prince's heaviest guns at that range. That's a cumulative 87% penalty before other factors. Apply the same factors to the MC La Belle at max range (475 yards) and the cumulative penalty is 21%.
Regardless, SOLs are not supposed to compare statistically to low level ships. You could produce 1130 Mastercraft La Belle deeds for the price of a single Prince.

What Wintersdark said. You beat SOLs by getting behind them (which is really hard if there are lots of them).
