I'm so sorry, I did it wrong! I spoke with Misha and now your support request should be in the right place to get the attention it deserves.

I don't work with our customer service system much -- I thought I was doing the right thing but misunderstood the way our CSRs work. I changed the priority of your bug, but did not change the queue. The priority field is the most important sorting criteria for our internal bug database. But in RightNow, it's a custom field that CSRs generally ignore, and that we'll probably remove to prevent this situation from happening again.

Once again, my apologies; you've suffered for my mistake and I don't like to let that happen.

While we haven't completely picked the defaults yet, both chat bubbles and floating names will DEFINITELY be optional. Right now we're leaning to chat bubbles defaulting to off for local chat and on for group chat. We're also defaulting NPC names to off, and player names to on. Fraxl's UI Strike Team devlog will have details, but the chat streams have been significantly improved. Basically only the MotD and GM system messages fall into the "show on every tab" category now. That should help with the AH and loot spam wiping out everything in the chat window.

The trouble is that the unrest turn-in mission problems have thrown things out of whack. We want to see more hotspots than we're seeing now, but until the turn-ins are fixed we won't have an accurate picture of how common hotspots are going to be. Once next week's 1.1.x refresh has been out for a few days we will take another look at the number of PvP zones and see if we want to make further tuning changes at that point.

As has been mentioned before, we have been, still are, and will be continuing to work on the backlog of unprocessed submissions until we launch User Content 2.0. It won't be a steady stream, but coming in fits and spurts. Apologies for any additional anticipation and/or frustration that may cause.

The new Oceanic servers use a completely seperate server side infrastructure, and have a completely seperate patching system. They're hosted in the same facility, and use the same network pipe. Other than that, they're 100% independant. THAT is why they can be patched at a different time. The US/EU servers use common infrastructure AND the same client patching system which is why they can't be patched at a different time.
