There's a bug in the calculation that is making players contribute more unrest than intended. They are supposed to give more than NPCs, but not by more than an order of magnitude. I fixed it awhile ago, so I believe it's in the next patch.

Port Battles were never supposed to be focused on AvCom. It is intended to be an option for attackers to finish the battle if defenders decide to play hide and seek, not something that you can grunt rush for a quick victory.

We've ran multiple extensive test passes on this, trying out a ton of variables and different scenarios. So far, we haven't encountered this bug. I'm pretty sure there's no problem with the ship, but there could be something else that causes a problem that is easier to run into on certain ships. It'd be useful to know your career and what skills you're using if you have this problem. Outfittings, any consumable buffs (powders, experts) and similar modifiers are also important.

Also, character name and server might be useful. If this is a character or server problem, it's unlikely we'll run into it in our tests.

Thanks to all who are posting spammy logs. I'd really like to know what the culprit of the >1GB log file spam is. There are some tools that you can use to crack open really big text files. As mentioned by Mcgreag, UltraEdit is really good at dealing with large text files. Also, in the past I recall wordpad being able to deal with logs that notepad died on however I am not sure if it can handle files over a gigabyte. The GNU Tail is good for getting the last chunk of logs - which is likely to contain the problematic log type. I've got a Win32 version of Tail that I may post.

I'm going to see about possibly adding the ability to turn off client logging.

Whilst we do encourage you folks to discuss and debate, we don't condone talk of exploits (whether they exist or not), trolling nor flaming.

If you feel something is an exploit, file a support ticket. This is the way to get the dev team to look at something. By name calling and accusing each other of something which may or may not be an exploit, you've failed at giving the team all the good feedback that they could use.

So, if you want to discuss whether something is a game mechanic or not and how it is used, that is okay.

If you have seen an exploit, report it via the support system.

If you feel like you need to accuse a person, society or nation, report it via the support system. Please do not bring it to the forums.
