There are several problems. And believe me when I say this is NOT where we want to be or where we expected to be. And most importantly, not what we will settle for in the end - we're working continuously to fix these problems.
The OP points out some tix get quick response, others languish for months. Makes it difficult for me to get out of bed every day; the backlog is so depressing. A few factors went into creating this problem. The biggest is that we just didn't have enough bodies hired and trained in time. Another is that we have more gold spammers and "I'm stuck" tickets than we ever dreamed. So our GMs spend too much of their time playing whack-a-mole with gold farmers and logging in to the game to teleport folks about. We also have more data loss than we expected. While our stated policy is that we don't reimburse, we do try to investigate deeply and our tools for doing that have been poor, slow, broken, slow, poor, absent, and slow.
Because we consider those the top priorities, we handle those incidents first and everything else waits until we have a few spare minutes. Recently, I personally spent 12 hours working on backlog. I addressed some incidents from November. Ugh!
We're continuing to hire and train more folks all the time. But it takes time for them to learn such a large and complex game and it takes time for them to learn all the policies and procedures for processing incidents. Periodically, a noob will cause a worse problem by handling an incident badly. (Sometimes experienced folks do too by either responding quickly and, as a result, sounding curt and uncaring or simply by clicking on the wrong button and closing an incident they meant to pass to someone else for more research.) Ugh!
Those things you reported months ago that you think would take 5 minutes? They take longer because we first have to determine whether the problem still exists. (This is true even when we handle an incident same day because our internal builds are about 2 months newer than what you have.)
The web front-end isn't nice for you, I know. Dev's working on it. When they're not fixing my slow, poor, broken, slow tools. And Pri1 bugs.
Anyway, no excuses and time for me to get back to work. I just wanted to reassure that we KNOW it's terrible and we HATE that it's terrible and we're working to make it not just OK but GOOD. But it's taking time to do it right.
