I didn't really get into it in my devlog, but the UI Strike Team has been revamping the social window (friends, society, LFG.) It's going to make managing a society MUCH easier.

The buzzing insects for the most part are in a particular location. If they're annoying you, move I'd move pretty quick if I was standing in a pack of mosquitoes!

I had no idea when I started this gig that sound would create such controversy . Thanks to everyone for stirring the pot and keeping me on my toes.

Also, in case some of you aren't aware, you can adjust your audio 'mix' in the audio preferences. It's broken up into different categories, so you can make volume adjustments accordingly.

1 in thread Rev, Rusty: Customer support is failing. [Known Issues / Troubleshooting]
There are several problems. And believe me when I say this is NOT where we want to be or where we expected to be. And most importantly, not what we will settle for in the end - we're working continuously to fix these problems.

The OP points out some tix get quick response, others languish for months. Makes it difficult for me to get out of bed every day; the backlog is so depressing. A few factors went into creating this problem. The biggest is that we just didn't have enough bodies hired and trained in time. Another is that we have more gold spammers and "I'm stuck" tickets than we ever dreamed. So our GMs spend too much of their time playing whack-a-mole with gold farmers and logging in to the game to teleport folks about. We also have more data loss than we expected. While our stated policy is that we don't reimburse, we do try to investigate deeply and our tools for doing that have been poor, slow, broken, slow, poor, absent, and slow.

Because we consider those the top priorities, we handle those incidents first and everything else waits until we have a few spare minutes. Recently, I personally spent 12 hours working on backlog. I addressed some incidents from November. Ugh!

We're continuing to hire and train more folks all the time. But it takes time for them to learn such a large and complex game and it takes time for them to learn all the policies and procedures for processing incidents. Periodically, a noob will cause a worse problem by handling an incident badly. (Sometimes experienced folks do too by either responding quickly and, as a result, sounding curt and uncaring or simply by clicking on the wrong button and closing an incident they meant to pass to someone else for more research.) Ugh!

Those things you reported months ago that you think would take 5 minutes? They take longer because we first have to determine whether the problem still exists. (This is true even when we handle an incident same day because our internal builds are about 2 months newer than what you have.)

The web front-end isn't nice for you, I know. Dev's working on it. When they're not fixing my slow, poor, broken, slow tools. And Pri1 bugs.

Anyway, no excuses and time for me to get back to work. I just wanted to reassure that we KNOW it's terrible and we HATE that it's terrible and we're working to make it not just OK but GOOD. But it's taking time to do it right.

Just chiming in on Taelorn's response. These are features which we're going to do, but we held the devs relatively free for the initial release so that they could address bugs that were found with full release. The stuff that you're seeing in 1.2 is a bit of dev work and a lot of content work. Now that we're working through the initial spat of bugs, we'll be moving dev over to new feature work.

In my opinion this game does NOT need more (pre)-written missions, but more sandbox-like features that require player-skill and player-interaction

It's your memory leak.

Most likely, the only place that might have them is an actual retail location like EB Games or Gamestop.

Apologies for your frustration. I've emailed that GM's supervisor to get this straightened out.

The GMs thought that 2nd report was a duplicate of the first - being clear what time/day the problem occurred would help clarify that it's a different incident.

The GM seems certain he did reimburse you for the first incident, although I'm with you - it's unclear that it was successful.

The problem you're running into seems to be that creating things that would go into your personal inventory say they work but fail when your personal inventory is full. I recommend ensuring you have room there in the future to help prevent this happening again.

Meanwhile, the underlying bug is logged in our internal bug database and Dev is working on a fix.

And that's fine. We're perfectly happy for you to do that. But if they offer 100% surrender, and you decline, they know you're not getting their cargo. It may be cold comfort, but at least it's something.
