Landmass, specifically. How many ports requires more finessing and tuning, and I don't have a specific target in mind.

I think you're misinterpreting what he said. We never said it will be too expensive to PvP.

That's incorrect. It should be available immediately and automatically, once approval is made. It usually just takes quitting and restarting your game client.

If anyone doesn't find their submission within a day of approval, please file a support request.

Right now, the freetraders have a lot of money. The PvP'ers are fighting, but not making as much money as we'd like (you shouldn't get rich off of PvP, or use big ships as a matter of course, but you should reasonably be able to PvP and make enough money off of it to cover costs).

Our solution, in vague terms becuase I wasn't in the room, is to give rewards for PvP that are only available in PvP, and that are quite valuable to freetraders, so that they'll buy them off of players.

Oops. Started writing this and then lost in my windows.

I'm not sure I understand the distinction you're making between guaranteed equal odds and balance. Maybe you could give me a scenario or two for how they'd be different?

I'm also unclear as to how centralizing PvP makes ganking groups more or less likely. Our target is for 30% of the world to be in PvP, and when we get there, that's a LOT of space for players to move through.

I can't speak for all the disgruntled PVPr's but my problems get solved with a PVP server. Jager is right on about an open pvp system. The instanced mechanic killed open PVP from the gitgo, but there's nothing you can do about that now. More red circles simply mean more gank groups to me. In theory, it might open up more solo or balanced PVP opportunities but I'm doubtful. If everybody were PVP flagged though ....

Yeah, I just fixed the flsCharacter one. That seems to be related to teleporting between ships. Occasionally a character object got left around, and you should only ever have one. Once you got into that state it would spam that log until you quit. Now we don't. Or at least won't once my fix propogates to the live servers. Thanks.

They're game resources and not distributed for use outside of the game itself.

Merged into the correct thread. As noted in the Appeals thread itself, we want to provide turnaround within one week of an appeal. As others have mentioned, it's a multi-person process -- and yes, there are a lot of appeals we're looking at and discussing.
