1) They already are. You guys don't realize how good the freetraders are in a group, but the game is still young.

2) Yes, specifically, a hit to their pocket book.

3) I'm not sure what the question in 3 is, but in general terms, First Rates are damned expensive. We have other tools to make things more even, but we're not planning on reducing the power of the First Rates.

4) See answer 1. There is a longer term answer that will make its first appearance in 1.4 (the milestone of Pirate Love).

5) I'm not familiar enough with this grouping to comment upon it.

I also want to note, even though it hasn't come up yet: Ship names on the ship models themselves aren't practical. It's come up many times before. We did consider making them show up via a small, extra, custom texture applied to an appropriate part of the ship, but we decided even that was beyond what we could implement right now.

That is exactly it, as outlined by the closing post and also a note that it would be best to keep the simple questions to this forum and discussion to the Discuss: Topic forum.

Ironically enough, the way the questions were posted in this thread is exactly how they should be posted to the dev team (minus the ranty bits). Give them concise questions to work with and it's much easier to get an answer.

So, I'd recommend starting again, sans ranty bits and give them concise questions that they can answer without the need to read 8 pages of forum pvp.
