We do encourage people to discuss and even debate almost whatever they wish. As long as people do not break the PotBS Community Rules, you can discuss your thoughts on the game.

However, if you do want to respond to a post where folks have expressed frustration or dissatisfaction, you should also be following the PotBS Community Rules.

Bashing of other gaming companies, individuals or game titles is not allowed on the Pirates of the Burning Sea forums.

The cooldown is definitely changing. The skill as it exists now may not persist into 1.4.

So that everyone is aware, we've got all the data we need to assist people with this issue. Bogus reports will be met with a very unsavory reaction from members of our support team.

The Point-a-Pitre (French capital) content is available to everyone. We weren't thinking along those lines when we wrote the Tortuga content, so it's all pirate-locked. I'm going to see what we can do about that in a future milestone.

Hello there,

1. Yes, you must purchase the game via retail box or digital download. You don't have to reinstall, but you have to purchase to active a full subscription.

2. Yes, once you have bought the game, you will convert your buddy account to a full retail version. If you buy the box, then you simply plug in your activation key in your Station Account (same place you activated the buddy account). If you buy it via Station Store, you'll just activate that account via the same place.

3. No, that is for current subscribers..people who have Station Access Pass (one subscription to pay for all SOE Games) or previous PotBS subscribers reactivating their accounts they may have canceled.

We definitely don't want to significantly increase the number of ports you can book passage to, and as a result we don't want to increase the number of ships you can have at one time. However, we would very much like to increase your ability to store additional ships. Our current thinking is to set up a 'dry dock' in one particular port (maybe the capital, maybe any port you've built a warehouse in, maybe other), where you can put ships 'in storage'. You can store a much larger number of ships there, but their cargo holds must be empty, so we don't give you infinite cargo storage space. If you have an open ship slot, you can take one of those ships out of storage, and then use it normally.
