This thread is about the player-dev communication (as the title says). What you do behind closed doors has nothing to do with it.
I've also tried honey, I've tried making suggestions, I've asked nicely and I've been shut down by you every single time.
NOW I am actually hostile and rude and for the first time you actually reply to me. How does that make sense?

I'm sorry that you don't see our efforts to reorganize and refocus our communication efforts as a sign that we are listening. Though I haven't personally noticed any real difference in the tone of your posts over a given period of time, that doesn't mean that you are incorrect in some of your assumptions.
That also doesn't mean that your perceptions are entirely accurate, either. We're working to find a middle ground here, establishing new and clear-cut ways of continuing and expanding our tradition of involving the community in the process of game design is an example of that effort.
Lastly, when you say
we, don't you really mean
you? I don't really know who
we is, but I am listening to
you right now. So if it makes it easier, I am inviting
you to get some real direct feedback- come chat with me today in IRC. I'm there most every single day, as I have been for near three years now. Heck,
you can bring the
we if you would like- I'd enjoy talking with all of
you.
I extend this invitation in the spirit of civil discussion and friendly discourse, I'm not looking to get in a tangle. So if you are up for it,
click me to learn more about using IRC.
Looking forward to meeting you,
Aether
