This was the fourth time we've ever done this, so we're still learning the best way to do it. This kind of feedback is great to hear and will make the next 12 of these (on the other server/nation combinations) go more smoothly.

We've been surprising people with them so that we actually get only a moderate population in the chats. We would make the town pretty laggy if we dumped a couple hundred people into one room.
I may actually set up a new zone for future chats that isn't in a town so I don't have to worry about swamping a town.

I suppose when the other factions have their chats there is the potential for similar dislocation, but the timing was pretty awkward.

When we did the chat with England on Rackham they were being attacked by France and Spain at the time. Any time there's no warning it's possible something bad will be going on. Of course if we announced the time beforehand the enemy factions might find out and deliberately attack at that time.

Perhaps in the future the Devs could set up a time and place to meet up with certain factions at a time.. (so they don't get overwhelmed) ...I know alot of people in my faction missed out and would have loved to chat ....Just a thought ......and thanks again!

Oops! Sorry we missed you.
Setting up the time beforehand is something I'm trying to avoid (to keep the size of the crowd down) but maybe I could contact guild leaders who are online and let them spread the word to their members so more people can come without bringing in the entire offline population too.
