We first saw the box last week at the ship party at CES, and man, were we blown away! That wasn't us, by the way, not being cheap, that was SOE. They kept calling up with ideas for stuff to add to the box, and we were like "Hell yes!"

Good point, this is old news!

The quest to bust your lady friend out of jail will be taken from Ibrahim in the 'Algerian Consulate.' If he's not offering a quest to you, then you're probably just not high enough level yet. When you're able to get to a high enough level, the harbor master will offer you a mission that send you to the right place.

Imagine that! If you should get more /tells from gold farmers in the future, be sure to file a support ticket with attached screenshots and any other information you can share and we'll take care of it.

The 2nd one looks lovely!

If you want to do tattering, two tips:

1) Check the tutorials sticky, there's fantastic advice to be found there.

2) Remember to do your tattering before shrinking your work down to 128 x 85 pixels. The transparency needs to be anti-aliased (smoothe and non-jaggy) too!

Check the stickies -- there are some fantastic GIMP tutorials there.

Two quick pointers:

1) Keep in mind, sail decals would be sewn, not painted. You'll probably want to simplify the hand design considerably, because sewing in all the "paint marks" would be impractical.

2) Be sure you're using colors that aren't fully saturated. E.g. red around RGB 150, 35, 30 or the like, and a white around RGB 235, 230, 220. In the flag it looks like you still have pure or nearly pure white.

Good work -- I think you're almost there!

That generally looks like a fine design. I can't download to double-check so just be sure:

* The background (showing as white) is 100% transparent;

* Your work is saved as a 32-bit non-interlaced PNG (that is, 24-bit color with an 8-bit alpha channel, which many graphics programs confusingly call "24-bit" all the same).

The thumbnail looks a bit messed up, which is why you should double check the format. If you don't know how to do that, let us know what graphics program you're using and someone can probably advise what you need to do

Since ships are always identified with regard to their true nationalities, it was decided that a nation/faction flag would always be displayed. It really belongs at the stern of the ship, but I wasn't on staff when that decision was made
