1 in thread Rusty, your follow up comment on populations please? [Ask an FLS Developer!]
And to make it obvious, it's Sunday afternoon. And I'm going through the forums, much like I do every day. If it weren't important, I would be here nearly as much.

Billions and billions of tons of hyperbole. :-)

1 in thread Well potbs is off to a good start. [North America]
More instance is going in for 1.3. The new French capital (which is jaw dropping) took a huge amount of work, so we're postponing the Spanish capital to get some more maps in.

And yes, we're discussing better loot.

I think, like CoH, we focused on delivering a solid core. Unlike CoH, we have a lot of changes that will be coming fairly regularly.

Tbh it's alot like CoH, but if they use what they have now and turn from the CoH idea they can have a great game

1 in thread Your failure to fix the lag problem is destroying your game. [Known Issues / Troubleshooting]
We can all feel frustration at times, so no problem. Are you still experiencing lag? We have one more big fix coming in 1.2, where we change how our UDP traffic works (should make things better for people with routers that aren't so good about UDP) but other than that, we should have fixed the lag problem that got introduced by the power failure a week ago.

It seemed like a good idea at the time? :-)

We're increasing DB drops dramatically in 1.2.

I guess my biggest disatisfaction is the fact that I have to spend endless tedious hours on an activity (grinding), to support a brief period of fun (pvp). Why are they (devs) so tight with the $$$?

"Too much" being operative. The goal is to a) raise it enough that you're making reasonable money to stay in PvP, and b) to provide special PvP bonuses that rich merchants want, so they move their money into the people playing PvP
Rusty
DB drops are being raised significantly in 1.2. Are you guys seeing the dev logs we're putting out?

1 in thread Why didn't FLS see it coming? [General PotBS Discussion]
I don't think it's the same issue. It wasn't SWG's bugs or tuning problems that caused people not to give it another try in the future, it's because (IMHO) it presented a fundamentally non-Star Wars experience, which no amount of changes seemed like it would address.
