1 in thread to the Black Hand [North America]
Hello all,

Whilst we all appreciate a lot of faction banter amongst each other, we really don't like to get into the bad talk. Since this thread has lots of it, we'll just let it go to the depths of the sea.

Cheers,
Danicia

Normal? I'm not sure. Desired? Heck no! Feel free to delete old ones. Also, some of the changes in 1.2.x will help prevent this in the future.

My ship, and all the surrounding ships, sit still for a couple seconds, then some jerk to new positions and halt again. Attempting to turn is horrible - if the game registers my A or D keypress, it begins turning and continues to do until it "unsticks" again, so I end up facing in a random direction, typically sailing extremely slowly (having turned through the wind at least once already).

When the game halts, typically (but not always) I still maintain a half decent framerate, around 15-20 or so.
That does sound like network lag. If the suggestions in Answer 36 haven't helped, give 1.2.x a try on Testbed - here's hoping the UDP changes we made will improve the situation for you. /crossesfingers. and toes.

I can't think of another one that's visible to you guys. Mostly I lurk in the background tugging strings here and there and letting everybody else get the credit (or blame.)

I'm going to talk to Isildur about the port reversion thing again tomorrow. I'm certainly not married to it one way or the other. I just know that we have talked about it a few times and right now it's not something we plan to change. I'll talk to him tomorrow and see if we want that to remain true.

Congratulations! I'm going to do some digging in the flogger tomorrow to see how many times she died. Sounds like quite a few people are going to need to go back in for another try.

1 in thread 1.2 patch general feedback [The Playability Lab]
Our first big patch! What do you think of the new stuff? Did we fix your favorite bug? Did we miss it? Do tell...
Marion vanGhent
You can consider this the official response on the concerns raised in this thread. To sum up: Yes, the standards are high; yes, in some ways they're more strict than the game itself; but as we can change the game much, much more easily than we can change User Content, we're keeping to the standards and precedents already set by our 2D User Content Guidelines. Within them is a very, very broad palette of colors and ideas with which anyone can play.

1 in thread Garloth's Sail [Flags and Sails]
While you're going in the right direction with removing the colour from your decal, you'll want to find a dragon that's more period-appropriate in style. This one looks quite modern and "cartoony."
