Our network perf improvements in 1.2 should change our packet signature, which may mean that traffic shapers will classify us differently. 1.2 is on the test servers now; give it a shot. I'd love to hear your experience either way.

Some warships are intended to be faster, others are intended to be slow. It just happens that we had two mid-level warships that are slow (Stralsund, Agamemnon) and the fast warships (Defiant, hybrid Myrmidons) were high level, and one of the slow warships (Deliverance) was gaining speed from a bug. Now we've also got a mid-level warship that's fast (the Athena). Higher end SOLs are supposed to be fast, but at an extreme cost in acceleration.

We did? Produced general outfitting is the area where there's not supposed to be any real market, because it's the area we displace with loot. However, low level dropped items are not supposed to completely overshadow high level produced items.

The Intrepid has a 16 speed in 1.2.

Scout ships aren't supposed to be slow overall. The specific restriction is that the most powerful scouts in the game are not supposed to be faster than the smaller scouts. That means no 17 knot Hercules, but it doesn't mean a Raa shouldn't be able to outrun a Defiant or a Mordaunt. However, there are ships within each type that are supposed to be slower or faster. This is particularly true of the hybrid ships like the Conquistador and Minerva, and slow ships like the Deliverance (which has a bug that's giving it +1 knot in 1.1).
