Let's keep this thread about the Poseidon, shall we?

Excellent work!

Just to clarify best practice here: You'll want to get in the habit of posting your content directly to the forum and getting feedback, before submitting your work. After you've submitted, you can post a link in the Flag and Sail Votes! sticky.

That said, previewing is optional, technically speaking -- if you'd like to skip that part and go straight to Flag and Sail Votes, that's fine. But to prevent vote requests from overwhelming this forum we're gathering them all in the thread linked.

Hope that makes sense. Happy drawing!

1 in thread Need Society Flags and Sails [Flags and Sails]
While I realise this isn't exactly your question, right now we have no way of "transferring" User Content between subscribers. Even if we did, it's a process that would need to be initiated by the person who submitted the designs in question.

So, your best bet would be to have the original submitter send me a PM directly, linking to the flags and/or sails you've mutually agreed should be "transferred." Once I've received that notification, you'll need to resubmit the designs and PM me -- in a special case like this, assuming the design is appropriate, we can expedite its approval.

Otherwise, you'll need to submit a new design for your Society to use.

Hope this helps, and I'm sorry to hear you're already in such a situation. Alas, such is life on the virtual seas, at times.

Yes! I meant to post that as well. I'll get it in place this evening and point folks at it (we have the image ready to go, I just have to get it posted to the site).

While withdrawing the submissions in question (which has taken place as of this post) is the right thing to do, and I at least appreciate your apology and hope the other members of our community will accept it as well, I'm going to close this thread and leave everyone with two reminders:

1) It is indeed against our community rules to submit others' User Content without their express permission. Doing so repeatedly can imperil one's ability to participate in User Content.

2) It's also against our community rules to use UC comments or forum posts to "call out" people who have "borrowed without permission." The proper response is to either PM the 2D Steering Committee (Emwsand, Sadet, Toshiro, and myself) or file a support request.

That said, I hope everyone involved can live and learn from this experience so it doesn't get repeated again.

Known Issue:

The Server Status data is currently showing "0" for all population fields. This is being worked on.

Which system? If Launchpad is unable to connect, that's SOE's territory. That said, Launchpad connectivity issues are not indicative of problems stemming from Packeteer hardware. To the best of my knowledge, SOE support has generally been pretty successful at diagnosing and eventually fixing Launchpad issues. Unfortunately it sounds like the problem is local to your campus network, and in that case neither we nor SOE will be able to do much without the support of your school's IT staff.

Packeteer has not yet pushed a fix to their users. We have seen generally positive reports from users who managed to talk IT into applying the manual solution from Answer 211. We've had mixed reports about the network perf changes in 1.2 affecting our categorization by traffic shapers.

No worries, I didn't catch that either until Gray Noten set me straight. Good luck!

1 in thread Data Service API [In Concept]
Just in case people follow this thread, but miss it on the home page -- the first iteration of the Data Service API is now available, and you can read about it in Brendan's new devlog: http://www.burningsea.com/page/news/...ticle_id=10707 and in the developer documentation I've written: http://www.burningsea.com/downloads/...ServiceAPI.pdf.

Keep the feedback coming, folks!

We'll eventually provide for free trials, but as noted, there's work we need to do to avoid all the associated problems.
