I, for one, am sad to see you move on. It's been a pleasure being in this wacky community with you and you'll be missed.

I'm the wrong person to ask for the details, because I wind up getting them confused, so waiting for the dev log next week is probably best. But the general idea is that we will slow down how fast a port absorbs turns ins, though you can pre-stack a bunch of them.

Now that the downtime is well and truly over, I think it's time to lay this thread to rest.

We realize that today’s extended downtime was incredibly inconvenient for our community, and as a result we have decided to give each player some in-game items to compensate for the time that was lost. We know that these items can’t replace the fun of actually playing the game during those hours, but we hope that they will lessen the blow.

The items are:


6 x Bonus Loot Book
This is a consumable item. For two hours (real-time, not game-time), it provides a +20% chance to get double loot.


6 x Bonus Experience Book
This is a consumable item. For two hours (real-time, not game-time), it increases experience gains by 20%.


These items will be delivered via a small patch on Wednesday morning, and will automatically appear in your inventory.

Quick reminder: It's a bad idea to post an email address directly to any forum. Unless you consider getting lots of spam offering products to enlarge body parts you may or may not have "good." Minus the "holes" and stains/drop shadows, it might be passable. Colour bleed wouldn't happen with the dyes and materials used for flags and sails in this era.

I should also note that in reality, sail patches follow the existing seams of the sail and aren't put on at all odd angles. This can be overlooked in a game, but it's worth pointing out for those interested in a more realistic effect.
