Have you seen otherwise? (That is, you have content submitted through the site, and you're not able to see the UC when you to go My Content here on the website.)

@the OP: Have you submitted content? If you have, and it's gone missing from the site, can you provide any details about that content to help us see if there was a problem there?

Yeah, the stuttering happens when the individual ships are loading in as they get in range, big file sizes = longer stutters. Our plan is to do ten at a time and release them into the game when they're done, then do the next ten.

Eventually, I want to create an entirely new set of ships that live in the open sea only. We call them "toy ships" because they would be very low poly and low detail - my feeling is that even the lowest res ships in the game (the one used in the open sea currently) are still unnecessarily detailed for the open sea.

I think Xylander means separate thread. As this one is a duplicate, I'll close it now.

Nifty render, but you're really going to need to study up on actual ship construction in order to be successful here. While an original ship design is a fun idea, it needs to be very solidly based on historic practice. That's not the case here.

Your assignment: Find, borrow, or buy Wolfram zu Mondfeld's [i]Historic Ship Models[/i. This is the single book that can help show you how to properly make channels, deadeyes, windlasses, bitts, hatches, masts, bowsprits, cabins, rails, and more. This is information you need to have in order to work on a ship model for the game; while the 3DSC can help you correct details that are off, we cannot teach you the entire art of shipbuilding.

Let us know once you've found the book and have read it cover to cover -- it's often available cheaply via Amazon, and is in many local libraries.

It looks like you've got the basic modelling talent required for PotBS ship, and I guarantee that Historic Ship Models will get you a long way towards having the ship-savvy required to put your modelling talent to good use.

Happy reading

Also, if you're not seeing new approvals since 19 March, flush your browser's cache. I can verify that folks have been chipping away at the pile over the weekend.

Nice work! You're off to a great start.

I should note, the black is just on the edge of being too pure and dark. Using a really dark grey-brown instead works best -- try something around RGB 50, 40, 30 instead. Then your flag should pass with flying colours... no pun intended!

That sounds like something new and different to me. Please file a support request.
