You can pull the data more often than the API suggests, but the data won't change any faster than that, as we cache the requests locally for that length of time.

Also, if we are asking for the data faster than the server wants to give it to us, what should we expect to see? In the end I'll make my program wait the suggested time, but it would be good to know whats up with this.
You should expect to get the data each time, but we log requests, and if we see a history of pulling requests faster than the API allows, you'll get an email from us, requesting that you Don't Do That; if it continues beyond that, your Developer Key can be revoked in extreme circumstances.

Don't let that happen, cache locally!

1 in thread Server outage: Wednesday a.m. [Important Announcements]
We will be upgrading the servers during the usual maintenance window 1:30a - 3:30a Pacific on Wednesday April 2nd. During this time, we will be upgrading both Testbed and the Live clusters. This build will enable the a compensation for the outage last Friday (3/28). Thanks for your patience during this time.

Karkh, you're right about the flagship in Man of Wealth and Taste. The AI personality was incorrect and caused it to avoid the player instead of engaging him/her. It's a known issue that I fixed, but won't show up until next patch.

Gray Noten suggests "they should make sure the 'allow' rule comes before the 'deny' rules that are blocking us"

Oh well, i wont hold my breath.
Yah, since it is their billing system and activation system, we have to work with their devs to find the problem. Hang tight!

Fatal Frame for the PS2- When you leave the screen on pause long enough, faces of ghosts start appearing on your television set. Scared the crap out of me!

Face crab.

Event Horizon - I remember a scene with a small corridor that had flickering lighting. Some thing... some one pops out suddenly right in front of the camera.

Aphex Twin music videos.

Rosemary's Baby - Rosemary getting skinnier and paler.

The Exorcist - Little girls should not crawling up stairs and walls that way.

The X Files "Home" episode. Ugh.

The Ring - The weird scene with slow repetitive music and horse eyes, ladies brushing their hair and other random things that wouldn't be so scary normally.

I just saw the Perfect Storm on Saturday. There were so many scary parts in that movie. Large empty spaces and powerful ocean currents. Eek.

No.

As I have said before, the main problem isn't the whole voting/comment system, it's the lack of human attention at the end of the process that's making people angry.
The current voting system relies on people giving honest ratings to content. This clearly isn't happening as almost everything in the system has a 4- or 5-star rating -- even designs suffering technical problems with color, aliasing, etc. It's simply not possible to hand-process several hundred submissions each day, and thus we believe the system needs to be re-written from the ground up. Better filtering up front = fewer designs to be hand-processed = much faster turn-around.

What is your target time from submission to approval going to be?
Under one week, as mentioned in the thread on UC 2.0.

It shouldn't be that long.
