I'm not entirely sure where this is coming from, but here goes.
Yes, we made the game and we want people to pay us to play it, and it is our responsibility to make it work. The fact remains that we have a shifting ground underneath us when MS or Nvidia or other providers release updates to the code that we run on top of. And when it causes a problem, we look to see if it's exposed a bug in our code that wasn't a problem under the old drivers, or whether it's a bug in the new drivers. And if the latter, we report it to the driver company and they look into it. That's the point we're at right now. As soon as Nvidia figures out what's causing the problem, they can probably give us a better workaround until they deploy the fix in later drivers.
As for the "visually on par" I realize we don't use all the latest shader tricks. Crysis, as advanced as it is, doesn't hit the driver in all the same ways we do. Otherwise Nvidia wouldn't need a matrix to test against, they'd just use Crysis.
