Make sure to try the log out completely and log back in trick to see if it "catches" up.

Go to www.burningsea.com and go to the very top, click on "log out". It should log you out completely. Close your browser and then launch again, going to www.burningsea.com. Click on "log in" and you should get the box to input your Station username/password.

Between the museum and rehearsals so I don't have time to check your plans, but normally... the cabin in such an arrangement is a few steps below the deck in front of it. There would be a doorway closing off the entire companionway (i.e. the cupola here), which entirely hides the ladderway down. So unless contraindicated by your source material, you'll want to move the door much farther forward so it's all approximately flush with the bulkhead.

Otherwise, as currently modelled the companionway is apt to ship water in stormy conditions, leading to a soggy and unhappy captain. Make sense?

Yes, the changes I made will be in 1.2. The spawn tables for French and pirates have been fixed and the timer for the second fleet has been made several minutes longer.
