That too, is another weakness of the tutorial!! :-)

Let me know how you feel on Tuesday.

I think what's different is that there are some good alternatives out there. It used to be that MMOs were relatively few in number, and when a new one came out, people stuck out really, really bad launches to wait for a game to improve.

Now games launch a lot better, but with all the alternatives that are out there, people are willing to bounce away for a couple of months and come back to check on progress. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that behavior, but it is a mindset change that MMO developers need to be aware of.

Its a lot faster and easier to identify a problem, than it is to come up with, write, implement and test a solution.

Hello all,

Whilst it is okay to discuss and debate all things related to PotBS, it's not okay to continue to flame and troll each other.

I'd recommend some reading of the Community Rules closely.

Cheers,

A solution is coming for you next week.

That's really peculiar. We've made some massive reduction in the size of ship files, it should be noticeably reducing load times.

Yes, it just wasn't part of the changes Isildur referenced earlier so he didn't touch those files for money purposes.

You're kidding, right? Gold farmers cost us:

1) Support time - I pay extra money every month for extra staff to hunt down and ban these guys.
2) Player enjoyment - Nobody likes to be spammed.
3) Credit card fraud - This is a major source of lost revenue, and is causing changes to how all of the big MMO companies are doing payment processing.

If I could pay them protection money to go away, I would. It'd be cheaper.

I'd recommend rewording it a bit.
