At the very least, it will be fixed by tonight's outage when we upgrade the servers to the version you have (1.2.84.0). That's the problem: SOE jumped the gun on upgrading the clients.

Check the bottom of the page. You can set the desired time zone in prefs.

I downloaded the game (vs installing from disk) and I have playpotbs.exe in my Pirates folder and that works fine. Apparently, some of you don't have that?

(To be clear: You're looking for playpotbs.exe NOT potbs.exe. That 2nd one won't work all by itself. It needs playpotbs.exe.)

Except now I'm hearing that doesn't work...

Except their fix doesn't seem to have worked for me. Yelling at them again.

SOE say they've fixed the Beta Station Launcher so that, if you launch the game using that, it should launch the correct version of the game and you should see the servers on the list.

I was in a 104 in an end of beta event. Two guys in little ships got behind me and I couldn't do anything to get them in my gun arcs.

If you're trying to run the game and getting "Can't open game window" and a list of troubleshooting ideas, chances are that your machine in some way does not meet minimum requirements.

When it comes to figuring out whether your machine will run our game, the most common challenge will lie with your video card. At a bare minimum, a video card must support Pixel Shader 2.0. If you have questions regarding the specifics of your video card, you will want to go the web site of your card's manufacturer, and perform a search on "pixel shader."

First, if you can't see the server list, make sure you are working with the 1.2.84.0 build. If you are, you should be able to find LaunchPad on your computer at the following location:

C:\Program Files\Flying Lab Software\Pirates of the Burning Sea\PlayPOTBS.exe

If you can't find PlayPOTBS.exe on your machine, you can also install LaunchPad from the following link: http://patch.station.sony.com:7000/p..._LaunchPad.exe

We've received word that SOE is working to fix the problem now, but the preceding information will work as an immediate fix until they've solved the problem.

Best,
Aether
