The only thing you lose are your personal contention points on any port you might have personal contention points on. You keep marks, money, items, etc.

Boy, I'm sorry that it's coming across so badly to you. Give it a few days and talk to some of the people who are moving from your server, and see what they think of the experience. Obviously, we wouldn't have done this if we hadn't thought it would make things a lot better.

We thought about it. In particular we though about it for Bonnet and Hornigold so that they would not feel like they were moving to an established server where they would be forced to speak English.

We didn't do it because we have 4 servers that have viable but not robust population already and we didn't want to have to get rid of those healthy servers as part of this process. This is going to make the transition more difficult for the players who are losing their server, but the existing populations on those servers are all being pretty gracious about it. I don't think anybody will care who transferred in after a few weeks.

Nah, you're not a screwball, and it is something that we considered, but we went the way we did because there's already an economy underway, and less of our user base has to go through the moving process.
