They can't log out if they're in combat. But if they get out of range, and stay out of range for the minute or so that it takes for the In Combat effect to wear off, then yeah, they can log out 30 seconds after that.

But if they can stay out of range of attackers for at least 90 seconds (60 to go out of combat + 30 to log out) then you probably aren't going to catch them anyway.

Yep. The revamped ad hoc spawning system is in v1.2.

Most of the work on v1.1 was done before the game even launched. We work far ahead to ensure we have plenty of time for internal testing.

The ad hoc revision has been completed and is in testing. You'll definitely see it in v1.2, which is coming in just a few weeks.

Something not mentioned in the devlog was the random crashes which sometimes happens. Granted the players actually reported it with a log, did you kill some of these?
We've fixed quite a few crashes already in the patches since launch, but v1.1 includes even more. I have a devlog on stability & performance fixes in v1.1 coming very soon.

We made no changes to which ships we spawn. We just fixed a code bug that meant the ship you saw on the Open Sea wasn't always the ship you saw when the battle loaded.

Of course, since this bug meant you weren't necessarily seeing the ships we intended, you may find that you are now fighting different ships. But adding variety wasn't part of this fix.

The relic is reusable. It's an item you can activate while in your ship.

Follow the other RP story quests in your log. At that point, the mission from the Algerian Consulate are what's going to advance the story.

One of the tricks to this battle is letting your troops get into place. After the first page of dialog with Van Meel, they'll start moving into position. If the click through the next page without bothering to read (b/c you've done it seven times) they won't be in position when the battle starts. That will make the battle much more chaotic. I recommend waiting until your boys have gotten right behind the ones they're going to attack.

And as soon as you take out the executioner, you can free Ismail. He's a boss, so do it!

Yep, we have that too. The sticky notes are mostly just a brainstorming and planning tool to use during meetings.
