1 in thread New Devlog: The Road to v1.1 - Open Sea Improvements [News and Press Releases]
By the way, I made a mistake in my devlog which I have since corrected. If you try to log out in an unsafe place and you get the 30 second countdown, clicking the Exit Now button will leave your ship there for 2 minutes, as if you'd disconnected. The safe way is to wait for the 30 second countdown, and then you'll be logged out.

This is all explained in the message box you get when you try to quit in an unsafe area. I just got my explanation wrong.

Not being able to get to the update server means that something is blocking the launchpad from connecting. I'd check to make sure that no firewalls are blocking the application.

Also, something in this Station Support article might help:

When we turn the knob that cranks up unrest generation, it affects the values that get applied but does not update mission text, tooltips, etc. So the missions will keep reporting the original value, but the actual amount applied will be adjusted.

Still coming and not really the same issue. We want more PvP available globally, and the changes we made last night were very simple and easy fixes for us to do.

There are quite a few other ways to address these issues. The changes we made last night were the fastest, simplest, and least risky ones we could make. You'll see population balance support coming in the next few weeks, and longer term we have several different approaches we're considering for improving Conquest and making it more reactive to the state of each server.

Hopefully in the near future, the emotes will keep looping.

This seems to be the problem with a number of routers that have trouble with our game. We send a lot of small UDP packets and some routers decide they're only going to pass so many on. We're working on a solution for sending fewer packets with more data per packet, which should help with such routers.

I'll keep you all updated on how that's going.

1 in thread Any idea on recent wait time for approval? [Flags and Sails]
Currently 2-3 weeks, but we're actively working on ways to streamline the process.

I'm glad what I wrote made sense to you!

Meanwhile, if you wish to remove a flag/sail in voting, you should be able to "withdraw" it.

I'd like to invite you to submit your flag/sail design ideas in this thread for critique before submitting them for votes. I've made this into your very own thread for that purpose, so have at it mate -- let's see some canvas!

Once you've perfected your designs and posted them for consideration, you can then put the links in this thread.

Also, if you decide to revise any of your current designs, please remember to "withdraw" the ones you've improved on.

1 in thread The Agent's Spyglass Has Been Broken! [Known Issues / Troubleshooting]
The new item effect is not bugged. The old one was. The aggro reduction modifier is not intended to be used on items because it doesn't function that way. We changed the item server-side, but doing so means the tooltip will be wrong until there's a build update that includes the new strings.

The Agent's Spyglass was horribly broken. Used properly, it allowed you to kill NPCs without them fighting back.
