There is a dialog slider in the audio preferences. It's titled 'vocalizations.' All voices are on it except for combat voices and the background walla (chatter you hear that doesn't come from a specific person).

I took audio off of the auctioneer because at the moment, I don't have what I need to fix it so that it doesn't drive people nuts. I totally understand why he is annoying to some people. I also totally understand why some people love him. He'll be back when I have all of the necessary ingredients. I'm looking forward to bringing him back to life in a more palatable way, campy voice in all.

Psychoti - That's a good idea, you're right, ideally having him be more interactive like that would be really neat. It'd be a TON of work . Not that I'm against working hard, but there's probably too much other stuff that will take priority!

Vylance- I meant exactly the opposite of what you are saying - have him speak only when the auction window is not open. I assumed that people would be spending the most time near him when the window is open, and so that is when you don't want to hear him talking because he'll get repetitive quickly.

And to everyone - adding more lines is definitely an obvious and necessary solution. When I give him his voice back he'll have more to say. Thanks for your input!

There is no sort by review date, only sorting by posting date (newest first).

I don't work in content or read bug reports, so there's a difference between what I know and what's happening in content. That just means I knew it was an issue that was sent out quite awhile ago.

This mission is undergoing a revamp.

Submissions currently in the system are not "going back in the fold." As has been mentioned, we're putting more people-power behind the current process until the new system is finished, tested, and in place -- and will continue to make "UC Blitzes" as needed until we're down to a healthy number of submissions in review. (By healthy I do not mean "large," but "good for the system.")

In other words, it's not going to take "1 more month" for the submissions currently in voting to be processed. It will either happen before the new system is in place, or within a few days afterward. The new system is designed to process flags and sails at the same rate at which they're submitted and we have lots of ways to ensure that happens.

As for when all this happens: again, within the next month.

lets assume that you have to vote 10 times to allow one submission, 250 new submissions need to occur to get a single vote.
lets assume that there are 100 new submissions in a day, that means your design will only be voted on once every 2.5 days, and we need 100 votes before we are even seen by a dev?if not how many?
As noted elsewhere, we're going to keep doing approval pushes as often as we can in order to get the backlog down to manageable numbers while the new system is being developed. You're absolutely right that the system would fall down if we used it to try and catch up, unless we made folks vote 200-300 times per submission, which isn't feasible.

It's not that you need 100 votes to get into review -- that's the number of votes it takes before something is rejected if it hasn't met a minimum threshold of "wins" (which is a significantly lower number than 100).

If an item meets the minimum threshold, but hasn't garnered enough votes to get into review yet, it stays in voting for a bit longer, where it needs to get enough votes to cross another threshold (about the same % of "wins" as the first, but it stays in longer, unless it meets the criteria for getting into voting earlier).

1 in thread Polacre refit mission repeatable? [Discuss: World & Missions]
The polacre refit mission from Ibrahim/Yusuf, is not repeatable. It's just a one time deal that's intended to be a little bonus for doing the RP missions.

That's quite helpful, thanks.

I've already said we're looking into it, and there's not much information to provide until we actually find out what's going on. The more data we have on the players who are experiencing this, the better.

This has nothing to do with the ship design. It's a bug.

After you side with either the professor or the knights, the next missions you will need to do are from the Algerian Consulate.

Is it possible that's where the logos for our integrated tools go? If so, you may be missing a graphics file or have a corrupted graphics file. Try running a full scan from LaunchPad. (See Answer 284 for info on how to do that.) Hope that helps.
