I'm not sure at all. What I'm speculating is that you're using up more memory than you should on the open sea, and when the game detects that you're running out of memory, it's doing the video card reset. Can you attach your DXdiag here?

Sorry, but no, we need what is essentially a discrete video card to run the game. If you have a regular PC, you can probably upgrade for a pretty reasonable amount of money, and it'll make your other games run better as well. If you have a laptop. then it's impossible to upgrade.

Yes, of course. There are all sorts of cool RP things we want to do, but we focused on the core game elements for release. I think, compared to most games, people are going to be a little amazed as to how quickly we add onto the game.

That's startlingly reasonable! For what it's worth, we have a number of elder game systems that we'll be implementing over this year. The idea was to create a solid foundation for the game, and then build on that.

To clear things up....

Whether something is an exploit or not is up to FLS to determine. This is why we want folks to fill out a support request. The Admin team isn't aware of every single item that could be construed an "exploit" which is one of the reasons why we say:

Do not discuss Exploits
Exploits in Pirates of the Burning Sea should be reported via the Support Website not the forums.

That means, no discussions of exploits, whether they are or not.

If it's not an exploit and folks are just name-calling, then this applies:

No Flaming
While debate and discussion are encouraged, we will not tolerate rude or insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts of any kind.

Either way, they both apply as it's discussing an exploit (valid or not) or you're insulting someone. These items are both against the PotBS Community Rules.
