The reason for this change is simple: before, the best way to defend your port was to stay out of the PvP zone. Defense by non-participation is stupid and boring.

Dang; Interesting thread gone bad with forum PvP. Let's just not do that, m'kay?

Do I think there are things that should be changed(*cough* deathpenaltyinpvp *cough*)? yes but I think there are alot of things that SHOULDNT be changed.

1 in thread PotBS Forum Rules & You! [Australia]
Hello all!

Aether wanted me to remind you about the PotBS Forum Rules & Expectations. This might help cut down on the confusion about what is appropriate and not on the forums, our IRC and the game.

Specifically, you should note these items:

-Do not abuse new users
Remember that new users will not always know where to find information that may be common knowledge to the seasoned forum user.

-No Flaming
While debate and discussion are encouraged, we will not tolerate rude or insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts of any kind.

-No Foul Language
This includes the use of invectives, sexually explicit language, racially or culturally insensitive comments, or the use of any words understood as offensive to others.

Aether wanted to me make sure that everyone understood that just because our foul language filter is in place, it does not exempt people from following our forum rules.

If you choose to use words that get edited by the profanity filter, you are making a choice to receive reprimand.

We've had these rules in place for a very long time and will continue to do so. We like our forums to be a pleasant experience for everyone!

If you see a post which violates the PotBS Forum Rules & Expectations, please use the report feature here on the website. If it is in-game, please type /support and log a ticket.

Let's continue being excellent to each other!

It's a calculation, so it's not a flat change. It varied from around half a knot to a knot. I'll give one ship as an example, the Cerberus (which received a pretty big boost):

Max Speed 14.25 -> 15.35
Close Haul Speed 75% -> 87.5%
Beam Reach Speed 87.5% -> 100%
Broad Reach Speed 100% -> 92.5%

So, it gained 1.1 knots max speed but 2.74 knots to its close haul and lost about 0.05 knots to its broad reach.

1 in thread Start game crash [Known Issues / Troubleshooting]
Open a support ticket and attach client logs and a crash dump to it. If you post the incident number here I'll take a look. Where to get client logs and how to turn on crash dump logging can be found here:

http://www.burningsea.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9456

If you aren't generating crash dumps then look at the details of the windows error report and see if you can find the fault bucket number.
