Some really good work here! Just noticing two things:

Also, remember that when covering large areas of a sail with your decal, you'll need to make the design significantly transparent. Try an opacity of 50-70%. The Frisian sail looks to be about 90% opaque.

Otherwise you're solidly on course

Merged a couple threads together so you have one place to showcase all your wife's work, rather than making a new thread for each item

However, I'd encourage everyone to vote their conscience when going through User Content. "Please vote for mine!" doesn't apply here -- simply vote on which of the two flags or sails you think is best for the game.

Feedback is sent via email, so check your spam filters and forum/Sony Station settings. If you didn't receive an email, please file a support request.

Meanwhile, I checked, and you should have received something that contains the following feedback:

This is a FANTASTIC idea, but the transparent "tattered" areas aren't completely transparent. That will be obvious when the flag is animated in-game, and will detract from its otherwise excellent quality. Please clean up and resubmit. HINT: Try selecting your flag with the "magic wand" tool in your graphics program, with it set to select pixels by opacity. (If you have an option to make a contiguous selection, uncheck it -- then all pixels with any color in them should be selected.) That will help you see where the transparency isn't complete so you can finish up this design.

I've taken the liberty of doing just that for you and filling all the partially opaque areas with green, placed beneath your flag image. This kind of glitch really does get noticed when animated much more easily than in a static image: the human brain is hard-wired to take note of motion, AND to tune out visual "static" that doesn't fit into whatever pattern it thinks it's being presented. Luckily, we have some folks on staff with sharp eyes

Hope this helps -- and if you decide to rework your flag based on the feedback sent to you, please consider withdrawing your appeal. And incidentally, this IS a fantastic design and otherwise perfect

I moved your post and FlaSeaDog's reply from the "Questions About Appeals" thread. This is the better place for it

We have community voting on User Content because there is simply too much to process individually in a timely manner. Voting helps get great flags into the game very quickly (at times within a day). It also helps get flags that still need work back to the submitter, so they can improve.

As FlaSeaDog says, processing time has gone down from a month or more to well under a week now. The system works extremely well, from this perspective.

We're fixing the invites in 1.5 (which we're working on right now).

The entire Pirates of the Burning Sea dev team have spent quite a bit of time evaluating customer feedback in order to identify ways to clarify our vision on several subjects, the direction of PvP being one of the most important subjects.

Lead Designer Kevin 'Isildur' Maginn has posted a new Devlog titled Ambush Gameplay, allowing our customers insight into what happens next, while offering definitive information on our feelings towards the act of 'ganking' in Pirates of the Burning Sea.

You'll want to read more by visiting this link.

Currently, the only way to get a free trial is to find someone to give you a buddy key. We have a thread for that at the top of this forum. You can add your name and if there is someone with a spare, they will contact you.
