That's not quite what I said actually.
Yes, there is a technical issue. This has been in place since launch. It has been discussed in the forums before and probably will continue to be discussed until the glitch can be fixed.
You are correct. It is not against the rules for people to post as long as they're following the
Community Rules aka as Aether repeatedly says "Don't be a jerk".
Your moderation team is not a technical team. The web team is the technical team. The web team is working on the issue; there isn't anything the moderators *can* do technically to repair this issue. I don't know the first thing about coding a forum nor a database.
I'd LOVE to fix the issue, but I'm not a technician. I'm a moderator, just like the other moderators on our team.
The moderator's role is to moderate...make sure folks are following the rules set down (which I've conveniently linked to above and in my sig). Our moderation team does the best we can. Sometimes we goof, sometimes we're awesome. We're not infallible.
Just as a note....to make it clear...some of the people who may have said "I'm done/I quit/I unsubbed" DO have valid and paid accounts. Just because they have unsubscribed or are not currently playing, doesn't mean they aren't ACTIVE accounts.
My recommendation for folks who don't like to read what other people have to say (regardless of their subscription status) is to use the "ignore" feature of the forums. To use said feature, you simply go to that person's profile. You'll see "Add Person to Your Ignore List". Voila! Done!
If you or anyone else are unclear of the role of the moderation team, the forum policies or anything related, you can speak directly to Aether as was discussed yesterday.
